Teenage years spent sailing on the Carrick Roads in Cornwall have given him an appreciation of the sea and tidal estuaries. In the mid-1990s happy times were spent sailing his Drascombe on the Fowey River in Cornwall. His painting has taken him all over the British Isles, from Cornwall to Scotland and the Outer Isles.
